PSA International Photo Gathering Vietnam 2026
A cultural and photographic journey bringing together 180 international photographers from more than 25 countries to experience Vietnam through heritage, humanity, light, and visual storytelling.
When Vietnam Became a Living Studio for International Photography
PSA International Photo Gathering Vietnam 2026 is an international cultural and photographic initiative, where photographers from around the world directly engaged with Vietnam’s heritage spaces, local communities, and living traditions through visual storytelling.
Heritage
Historic destinations interpreted through the perspectives of international photographers.
People
Smiles, local life, and meaningful encounters became emotional touchpoints of the journey.
Light
Each frame became a way to bring Vietnam closer to the hearts of the world.
PSA International Photo Gathering Vietnam 2026 is an international program of the Photographic Society of America, bringing together 180 photographers from more than 25 countries.
Following previous editions in India, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka, Vietnam was selected as the host destination for the fourth gathering. It was not simply a photography event, but a journey that invited international friends into Vietnam’s living cultural spaces.
During the main program, the photographers traveled through Ninh Binh, Bac Ninh, Thai Nguyen, and Hanoi — destinations layered with culture, history, spirituality, and local life.
At every destination, Vietnam appeared not as a static backdrop, but as a living studio of history and humanity: the Hoa Lu Festival, Bai Dinh Pagoda, Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, the ancient village of Tho Ha, traditional rice-paper making, Quan Ho folk singing, calligraphy, sunrise over Tan Cuong tea hills, and the Tay ethnic cultural space at Thai Hai.
Alongside the photographic journey, the PSA international exhibition themed “Earth and Us: A Living Dialogue” created a visual conversation between nature, humanity, and culture.
PSA-PG 2026 in Vietnam was a journey of cultural and emotional connection through light. Each photographer left Vietnam not only with photographs, but also with stories of its people, heritage, and way of life.
The significance of this gathering was not only in the number of participating photographers, but in the convergence of perspectives. Artists from many cultures turned their lenses toward a Vietnam that is diverse, distinctive, and full of life.
Following the main program, the Central Vietnam heritage journey continued to Hue, Hoi An, My Son Sanctuary, and Da Nang — where royal heritage, ancient architecture, traditional arts, and everyday life in Central Vietnam were experienced in a slower, deeper, and more intimate rhythm.
This project presents Vietnam through photography with care, respect, and the belief that visual storytelling can bring a country closer to the hearts of the world.
A photograph can capture a moment. A well-crafted cultural journey can keep Vietnam in the memory of international friends long after they have returned home.
Partners and Supporters Behind the Project
